Supmea A100 Electromagnetic Flowmeter for Water Treatment

  • Project Background

Expo 2027 Belgrade is the first specialised expo held in the Western Balkans, expecting more than 4 million visitors during the event. To secure stable, reliable municipal water supply for the exhibition venue and surrounding urban zone, the local authority upgraded its supporting water treatment facility. Accurate flow measurement across water intake, treatment and distribution pipelines was critical to guarantee continuous water supply throughout the expo period.

  • Working Condition

The water treatment plant handles raw water with suspended solids. The site faces typical industrial challenges: unstable power supply, moisture ingress, potential lightning surges and electromagnetic interference. Measuring points require bidirectional flow monitoring, and the instrumentation must comply with EU standards for municipal water projects.

Supmea A100 Electromagnetic Flowmeter for Water Treatment

  • Applied Product: Supmea A100 Electromagnetic Flowmeter

The A100 electromagnetic flowmeter was deployed on key process pipelines. It features no moving parts, zero pressure loss, multiple liner and electrode selections for water media. It supports 4-20mA, pulse and RS485 Modbus-RTU communication, with optional NB-IoT remote data transmission, IP65/IP68 protection and CE certification.

  • Project Outcomes

High accuracy: Maintains ±0.5% measurement accuracy, delivering reliable flow data for water balance calculation and process control.
Energy saving: Zero pressure loss eliminates extra pumping energy consumption, reducing overall plant power consumption.
Cost reduction: No moving parts cut spare parts and capital replacement costs.
Improved operational efficiency: Real-time flow data enables automatic process adjustment and remote monitoring, optimising plant operation workflows.
Regulatory compliance: CE certified measurement data meets EU municipal water reporting requirements for official audit.
Reduced downtime: Robust anti-interference hardware design effectively mitigates onsite voltage fluctuation, moisture and lightning risks, minimising unexpected instrument shutdowns.
Lower maintenance: Minimal wear components reduce routine inspection and maintenance workload for the operation team.
