SUP-WZPK/WRNK RTD Temperature sensors with mineral insulated resistance thermometers

SUP-WZPK/WRNK RTD sensors is a mineral insulated resistance thermometers.Generally, electrical resistance of metal varies, depending on the temperature. Platinum in particular is more linear and has a larger temperature coefficient than most other metals. It is therefore, most suitable for temperature measurements. Platinum has excellent properties chemically and physically. Industrial high purity elements are readily obtained for long term use as a resistance element for temperature measurements. The characteristics are specified in JIS and other foreign standards; thus, it permits a highly accurate temperature measurement.

Wide range of measurement

Due  to its very small outer diameter, this resistance thermometer sensor  can be inserted easily into any small measuring object. It is used over a  wide range of temperatures, from -200℃ to +500℃.

Ouick response

This  resistance thermometer sensor has a small heat capacity due to its small size and is highly sensitive to small changes in temperature and  has a quick response.

Simple installation

Its  flexible feature (bending radius more than double the sheath outer  diameter) makes for simple and on-the-spot installation into complex  configurations. The whole unit, except for the 70mm at the tip, can be  bent to fit.

Long life span

Contrary  to conventional resistance thermometer sensors which have a  deterioration of resistance value with age or open circuits, etc.,  resistance thermometer sensor lead wires and resistance elements are  insulated with chemically stable magnesium oxide, thus assuring a very long service life.

Excellent mechanical strength, and vibration resistance.

High performance is assured even under unfavorable conditions such as when used in vibrating installations, or in corrosive atmospheres.

Custom sheath outer diameters available

Sheath outer diameters are available, between 0.8 and 12 mm.

Custom long lengths available

Lengths are available up to 30 m maximum, depending on the outer diameter of the sheath.

Wide application in measurement

 The small diameter thermocouple is very useful for the place where space is at a premium. Mineral insulated construction is resistant to high pressure  and also used in a wide range of temperature from-200°C to +1260°C.

Quick response

Mineral  insulated thermocouples have small heat capacity due to the small  sheath size, the small thermal mass is highly sensitive to changes in  temperature and  gives a very fast response.

Easily bent for installation

The ability to form mineral insulated thermocouples on a radius twice the  sheath diameter makes for simple and on-the-spot installation into  complex configurations.

Long Iife span

Contrary  to conventional thermocouples which suffer from deterioration of  electromotive force or wire disconnection, etc., mineral insulated  thermocouples wires are insulated with chemically stable magnesium oxide, thus assuring a longer service life.

Excellent mechanical strength and pressure Resistance

The composite construction is resistant to extreamely high vibration  levels, and by choosing appropriate sheath material, it is reliable to  use in corrosive atmospheres and   abnormally high or low temperatures.  Though it has small diameter, it can withstand about 350 MPa at a  temperature of 650°C.

Custom sheath outer diameter available

Sheath outer diameter sizes between 0.25mm and 12.7mm can be provided.

Custom long length

Length are available up to a maximum of 400m. Maximum length is dependent upon the sheath outer diameter.
