Supmea Launches Automated Warehouse and AGV Smart Handling System
Enhance Production and Delivery Efficiency
Recently, Supmea’s automated warehouse system and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) smart handling system were officially put into operation. Through spatial restructuring and process reengineering, the upgraded system strengthens coordination across production lines and boosts delivery efficiency.
This upgrade project adopts an integrated “high-bay racking + bin shuttle system + vertical lift + automated conveyor line” design, supplemented by the collaborative operation of AGVs and a WMS (Warehouse Management System). Together, they form a fully automated system that covers the entire logistics process from inbound storage, picking, outbound processing, to final distribution.
According to Wade from Supmea’s Warehouse & Logistics Department, the current system supports over 13,000 standard storage locations. The automated inbound process from the production workshop to the warehouse can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, with a daily handling capacity exceeding 12,000 items.
“The core objective of the project is to maximize space utilization, accelerate material turnover, and enhance data responsiveness—ensuring stable supply while minimizing delivery lead time,” Wade explained.
At the same time, four AGVs have been deployed, including two latent-type vehicles for line-side distribution and two forklift-type AGVs for handling large items. Equipped with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) laser navigation technology, the AGVs are capable of autonomous path planning and intelligent obstacle avoidance, enabling 24/7 continuous operation.
Supmea’s automated warehouse and AGV system are now fully integrated into daily production and shipping operations, running smoothly and stably. Looking ahead, Supmea plans to explore the integration of additional modules such as AI-based quality inspection, energy and carbon monitoring, and operational efficiency analytics—aiming to balance high performance with sustainability and smart manufacturing.
